Type of Employment: Full-time - Permanent Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible Job Duties: Construct moulds for use in casting concrete products Record manufacturing information such as quantity, size and type of goods produced Set up, adjust and operate single-function machines to mix, drill, grind and cut concrete to specifications Build and repair wooden frames used to mould concrete products Check products for quality control Move products using forklift or crane Perform ongoing machine adjustments Position reinforcing rods or wire mesh in moulds Fill moulds with concrete Read blueprint, schemas and drawings Operate vibrating tables to settle concrete Tamp concrete using electric vibrator Remove castings from moulds Finish surfaces of castings using screed or trowel Assist skilled tradespersons such as carpenters and cement finishers Requirements Education: Not required. Experience: Experience is an asset. On-the-job training will be provided. Work conditions and Physical capabilities: Tight deadlines, Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Overtime required. Weight Handling: up to 23 kg (50lbs). Personal suitability: Accurate, Flexibility, Reliability, Team player. Work Site Environment: Dusty, Noisy. Language: English is required. Salary: $21.75 hourly, 30-50 hours per week. Important Information: Work schedule is from Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm (It includes a 30-minute paid lunch). Flexibility in schedule is required as some days may start earlier and other finish later based on the business needs. Overtime is required. We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours per week during winter.
