Thunder Bay, ON P7G 2N7 Work Location: Various locations across Thunder Bay, ON Type of Employment: Full Time – Permanent Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job Description: Load, unload and transport construction materials Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades Mix, pour and spread materials Assist heavy equipment operators Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs Level earth to fine grade specifications Assist in demolishing buildings Clean and pile salvaged materials Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction Requirements: -Education: Not required. -Experience: Experience is an asset. On-the-job training will be provided. -Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling -Personal Suitability: Initiative, Accurate, Judgment, Efficient interpersonal skills, Team player, Organized -Work site environment: Indoors, Outdoors, At heights -Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs) -Language: Basic level of English is required. Uniforms and construction tools (any tools relevant to the job) will be provided. Important information: The regular schedule will be from Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
